Tracy (she/her) is an identity-conscious leader and scholar-practitioner whose work embodies a ‘don’t tell me; show me’ philosophy of equity and justice. In her 20+ years of work in higher education, she has demonstrated unwavering commitment to increasing access to education and disrupting hegemonic systems of power that exclude some people based on social identities or lived experiences. Most recently, she has co-authored a book chapter on leadership, been invited to participate in a podcast on whiteness, and worked with faith communities in their pursuit to be affirming and inclusive places for people of all genders, sexualities, and races. During the academic year, Tracy works full-time as a faculty member in the Healthcare Studies Department at Salem State University in Salem, MA.
In addition, Tracy holds a PhD in Higher Education from UMass Boston. Her dissertation research focused on fostering LGBTQ student spirituality. She resides in Sandwich, MA with her wife, Tina, and their two dogs, Soji and Charlie. Sandwich is situated on the ancestral Native homeland of the Wampanoag, who walked before us and who still walk here.
